Orange Cassidy Announces Chuck Taylor’s In-Ring Career is Over on 5/1 AEW Dynamite

The world of professional wrestling is hard-hitting and tough with no superstar able to predict how long they can perform at the highest level inside the squared circle. Moreover, many see the end of their careers at the most unexpected times and a similar instance happened during the May 1, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Last week saw AEW star Chuck Taylor being subjected to a heinous assault by Trent Berretta. It began with a Parking Lot Brawl at the start of AEW Rampage between the two former Best Friends.

Following a brutal showdown in the parking lot, a timely low blow followed by a Piledriver and submission hold gave Trent the victory. However, he would continue the assault even then, blasting Chuck Taylor’s already injured knee with a metal wrench.

Taylor’s best friend, Orange Cassidy came to tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite to reflect on the events. Cassidy berated Trent Beretta for his heinous actions and revealed to the world that Chuck Taylor’s wrestling career was over in an emotional address.

Right after, Trent came out and Orange Cassidy rushed toward him in an act of revenge only to be stopped by security. Before the segment concluded, Trent blamed Chuck’s career coming to an end on Cassidy who was later consoled by the arrival of Don Callis indicating that this was far from over.
