WWE has a lot of plans in the pipeline, and they want to make big Superstars out of as many members of the roster that they can. Now, one recent NXT call-up is in line for a big angle.
The LWO splintered in two thanks to Santos Escobar turning heel on Rey Mysterio. The two are expected to head-up new groups and battle against each other. Now, it appears that Dragon Lee is in the mix somewhere.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE has big plans for Dragon Lee. At this point, he stated that WWE is planning a big angle for him to really help him break out, and he will be working with Rey Mysterio in some way.
“Dragon Lee is in a program that’s coming up that’s designed to be essentially, something with Rey. Not against Rey, but the idea is for Rey to endorse this guy as the future.”
Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio had an angle in NXT, one that involved Dominik Mysterio and the NXT North American Title. We will have to see if they reference that, or if WWE plans on writing a new page in history.
Dragon Lee has a ton of talent, and many expected is NXT stay to be a short one. Now that he is on the WWE main roster, it appears that the sky is the limit for him. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more.
