Ex-WWE Superstar Maven Makes Pro Wrestling Return

Maven holds the honor of the first Tough Enough winner back in the early 2000s and remained with the company for a few years before he was given the pink slip. After a hiatus from pro wrestling, he has finally returned to the squared circle.

Maven made his return to professional wrestling over the weekend. He competed in a 30-man Last Stand Rumble match for Reality of Wrestling, a promotion owned by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. This marked Maven’s first in-ring appearance since July 2023.

His surprise entrance came as the 21st entrant in the high-stakes rumble, and he received a warm ovation from the crowd. Upon entering the ring, Maven made an immediate impact, throwing punches at every wrestler in sight and even delivering his signature dropkick. However, in a lighthearted moment, Maven lost his shoe during the action, adding to the excitement and amusement among fans.

Despite the shoe mishap, the crowd embraced Maven with “You still got it” chants, acknowledging his enduring skill and presence. Maven was visibly touched by the warm response from the audience, demonstrating that his connection with wrestling fans remains strong. During the match, Maven managed to eliminate Inferno Tiger before he himself was eliminated by Quentin Wynters.

Although his time in the rumble was brief, Maven’s return added an unexpected and nostalgic element to the event, reminding fans of his days in WWE and his Tough Enough legacy. The pandemic also spoiled his plans to return to WWE, but there might be hope for his return now that he competed at Booker T’s promotion.
