WWE’s Latest Recruit Relinquishes Independent Championship

WWE has a lot in the pipeline as they close out 2023. This could mean fresh faces will see their way to WWE soon enough. Now, one name is making even more progress in that direction.

We previously reported that Jay Malachi inked a deal with WWE after a recent tryout. Now, he is doing what needs to be done so he can close things on the indies.

Jay Malachi, following a successful defense against Alec Price at DPW World’s Strongest, voluntarily surrendered the DPW World Championship. The upcoming DPW 2nd Anniversary event, scheduled for December 10th in Durham, NC, will determine the successor who will claim the championship title.

Jay Malachi has a lot of attention on him, and he could do big things in WWE. He has a ton of skills, and it’s likely that he will become a regular on NXT soon enough.
