WWE Producer Road Dogg Regrets Not Doing More With Miro

Miro worked in WWE under the name of Rusev. During his time in Vince McMahon’s company, Miro simply did not have a very memorable run for the majority of his time there. Now it appears that even Road Dogg admitted he regrets not doing more with Miro during his time in WWE.

Miro got over organically with fans and WWE didn’t like that. The company would ruin his character by involving him in nonsensical feuds such as the love triangle storyline with his real-life wife Lana and Bobby Lashley.

‘Rusev Day’ was very over in WWE, as Rusev and Aiden English’s pairing proved to be a major draw in the company. However, WWE did not see it that way and ended up killing their momentum.

While speaking on the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg talked about Rusev Day’s rise in WWE and made it clear he regrets not doing more with Miro, adding that he wished things were handled differently.

“I always like to say it’s the opposite of, my only point of reference is me and my history, it’s the opposite of Rusev Day. It’s something that’s caught on and they’re running with it instead of something that caught on and they didn’t run with it, even if it would have been where it caught on for six months and they printed shirts and they printed money with him. I just feel like that’s one of the things I look back on and I say, ‘Man, I wish that would have been different’, but to me, what I see is progress in the way it’s being handled today. It’s like, oh, they heard it. They see it. It’s undeniable. Get on the surfboard until this son of a gun hits sand.”

Miro was so excited about being released by WWE that he did cartwheels. Miro is currently one of the mainstays of AEW Collision and he is happy to be working with Tony Khan, which is all that matters to him now.
