WWE Makes Strides Into the Mainstream Sports Arena With Big 12 Conference Deal

WWE has a lot of cross-promotional efforts going on, and they also know how to strike a deal with branding. The company recently broke out NFL branded championship belts, and even more sporting crossovers are coming in the pipeline.

WWE is on the verge of breaking out a new partnership deal, this time with the Big 12 Conference. That is a huge property in college football alone, as many fans flock to those games.

Wrestle Votes reports that WWE is about to announce a deal with the Big 12 Conference. This will include merchandise and so much more, as another step toward branching out into the mainstream sporting world.

I’m told WWE and the Big 12 Conference are nearing an agreement which would allow WWE to produce licensed Big 12 merchandise focused around the upcoming college football bowl season. Another big step in the sports world for WWE.

The Big 12 Conference consists of ten member universities: Baylor University, Iowa State University, Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, Texas Christian University (TCU), the University of Kansas, the University of Oklahoma, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas Tech University, and West Virginia University. These institutions participate in a variety of collegiate sports within the conference, contributing to the competitive landscape of college athletics.

The Big 12 Conference has consistently been a prominent player in the world of college sports since it was founded in 1996. Its member universities participate in a wide range of sports competitions, both within the conference and against teams from other conferences. Over the years, the Big 12 has produced numerous successful athletes and teams, contributing to the overall landscape of college athletics in the United States.

We will have to see how this partnership pans out, but there are a lot of possibilities. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more information.
