Willow Nightingale Advances in Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Cup on 7/3 AEW Beach Break

The Owen Hart Foundation, Women’s Cup, featured one of the most highly anticipated matches on the July 3 edition of AEW Beach Break, pitting friends turned heated rivals Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander.

After Statlander and Stokely Hatheway betrayed Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing, the trio had been involved in multiple verbal back-and-forths and run-ins. Moreover, it was the team of Willow Nightingale and Tam Nakano that defeated Kris Statlander and Momo Watanabe at last week’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

The now-heated foes finally squared off in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Cup tournament and delivered a highly spectacular showdown that had the fans in Chicago on their feet.

However, the final moments of the bout saw Kris Statlander attempting to knock Willow Nightingale with a steel chain in her hand. However, she moved out of the way to roll Statlander for the win and advance to the finals of the tournament for the second year in a row.
