Vince McMahon Wanted Bryan Danielson On WWE Creative Team

WWE has a lot of smart people behind the scenes who craft the stories we see on television every week. Bryan Danielson isn’t with the company anymore, but he was able to make what mark he could on WWE in many ways during his tenure.

Eric Bischoff came into WWE for a short stint as Executive Director of WWE SmackDown. That assignment didn’t last forever, but he was able to see a few things first-hand during that time.

During 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff spoke about his time in WWE, and something Vince McMahon saw in Bryan Danielson. McMahon is a very smart man, and he saw the potential of Bryan Danielson working on WWE’s creative team.

“Vince McMahon was very impressed with Bryan Danielson, his creative. I know that there was some conversation, I don’t know how serious he was at the time, he mentioned to me that he was possibly interested in bringing in Bryan Danielson to be very involved in the creative side of things. Vince is a pretty bright guy, and you can say whatever you want about him, but I think that suggests that there is a lot of great potential there.”

“I think that if there is anything that is going to move the needle in the next six to eight months, it’s going to be creative. It’s not going to be anything else.”

Tony Khan is making good use of Bryan Danielson, as he is helping with AEW stories. There was also a time when Daniel Bryan was a part of the WWE creative team.

Ringside News exclusively reported in March 2021 that “Daniel Bryan’s writing is just one of many people who make suggestions.” In reality, “he gets shot down more than most write.” That being said, he was a part of the team on the SmackDown brand.

We will have to see what kind of stories Bryan Danielson and Tony Khan are able to tell from this point on. If anything, they seem to really enjoy this working relationship.
