Vince McMahon was forced to retire due to a hush money scandal, and he stayed away for a few months. That hiatus didn’t last long, because he soon returned and executed a total takeover to get his seat back as Chairman of the Board. Now, he has a lot to say about the next move his company made.
During a WWE company meeting for employees today, Vince McMahon had a lot to say. The Chairman talked about what’s to come, and he also admitted that WWE was “stagnated” prior to the merger with UFC.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Vince McMahon said that “the company had plateaued or stagnated, and the merger needed to happen.” Those comments also seemed to confirm the belief that some held that Vince McMahon made the UFC deal so he could return to WWE.
“Vince McMahon said that the company had plateaued or stagnated and the merger needed to happen to take the company to the next level. This gained a lot of eye rolls and reactions within the company, who pointed to WWE touting record numbers. This comment led many to reaffirm their beliefs that Vince McMahon did a deal, so he could return to WWE.”
Vince McMahon retained his position of power within WWE, and he is flexing that muscle every week. McMahon is making changes to WWE television on a weekly basis, whether we are even aware of it.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon got started with WWE creative once again “days” after his spinal surgery. It appears that he is still going strong, and nobody is going to tell him how to run his company now.
