Two More WWE Divisions Saw A Lot Of Layoffs Today

WWE’s merger with the UFC is starting off with a bunch of layoffs. Now, we know about two more departments that were hit especially hard.

Ringside News previously reported that Jamie Horowitz has been released from WWE. He previously held the role of Executive Vice President of Development and Digital. WWE also fired Head of Marketing, Catherine Newman, from her position today. Amanda Bloom also joined that list of firings later on. Now we have another name to add. Andy Levine was later fired, adding to the long list of notable names who lost their job today.

In the end, over 40 employees, maybe more than 50, lost their job with WWE today. This is sad day with the company, as many are still nervous that a call will come that they are no longer employed.

PW Insider noted that WWE’s marketing and live events departments were hit pretty hard by the firing spree. They did not have any specific examples of people from live events who were fired, but a few notable names from the marketing department were laid off.

Advertising is told that WWE’s Marketing division was hit pretty hard as part of today’s company restructuring following the Endeavor takeover. has confirmed Kimberly Kirkegard, Brand Director and Saverio Brighina, who held the position of Affiliate Marketing Manager, are among those departing that division and the company today.

While we haven’t heard any names, we’ve also heard the Live Events had multiple departures as well.

It was previously reported that the WWE Network and podcasting divisions were hit hard by the cuts. Hopefully, everyone who lost their jobs today are able to find employment elsewhere.
