Carmelo Hayes finished up his time in NXT after losing to Trick Williams couple of weeks ago. He was the first round draft pick during the WWE Draft this week and had a solid showing, after which Triple H has now given him a ton of praise.
On the opening night of the 2024 WWE Draft, SmackDown picked former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, who made a bold statement by challenging Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to a match.
Cody Rhodes accepted the challenge, leading to an intense main event. Despite a strong showing from Hayes, Rhodes emerged victorious, but Hayes certainly impressed many with his performance.
Following the event, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H took to Twitter to share his signature finger-pointing photo with Hayes. Triple H praised Hayes’ performance against Cody Rhodes, indicating that he had already made a mark on the SmackDown roster, showing everyone that he is “HIM.”

We will have to wait and see how Carmelo Hayes will fare on Friday Night SmackDown, as he definitely impressed many with his solid showing. Nevertheless, the Draft will continue on Monday Night RAW next week, so fans are excited for what’s next.
