The Backlash Premium Live Event took place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines, France and fans have enjoyed everything that took place in the show. So much so, that Triple H has now revealed that he is considering another huge country for a future international Premium Live Event.
While speaking during the post-WWE Backlash press conference, Triple H shared his enthusiasm for Italy after a particularly exciting visit during WWE’s latest tour. Reflecting on the positive reception and the energy from Italian fans, he mentioned that he would be focusing more on Italy and considering it as a significant location for a Premium Live Event.
”On this tour of the last few days, Italy was quite crazy. So when I get home, I will be looking heavily into Italy.”
The Cerebral Assassin acknowledged that Italy has potential for growth in terms of fanbase and entertainment opportunities. However, he tempered expectations by indicating that while plans are being made, it is unlikely that a major event would happen as soon as next year. Instead, WWE is carefully exploring international markets to determine where their shows would be most successful and well-received by fans.
”I think it’s amazing. As far as factors go, I won’t say next year but it’s absolutely something that we’re going to go back on. We’re looking to go to places where WWE will be enjoyed the most. We’ll dig into it and hopefully have announcements for everyone in a lot of big international markets.”
We will have to wait and see whether WWE will end up hosting a Premium Live Event in Italy, as the company has already seen a ton of success in France, Puerto Rico and other countries outside the USA.
