The main event for tonight’s edition of SmackDown delivered one of the most enthralling women’s matches seen in recent memory, only for the upstart and hungry-for-spotlight Tiffany Stratton to spoil the proceedings.
The bout saw new WWE Women’s Champion Bayley square off against Naomi, who earned the right to challenge her by defeating Tiffany Stratton last week on SmackDown setting up the match in Steel City tonight.
Also watching the match from the skyboxes were Bayley’s former Damage CTRL members and their neutralizing threat, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Shifting back to ringside, Bayley and Naomi tore down the house with their back-and-forth wrestling showdown.
The action spilled all over ringside and concluded near the announcer’s desk when Tiffany emerged during the closing moments to attack both Bayley and Naomi ending the contest in disqualification.
Frustuated with the opportunity to become champion slipping off her fingers last week, the Center of the Universe made a huge statement by continuing the assault and concluded the show by executing her Prettiest Moonsault Ever on both Bayley and Naomi, leaving them beaten down and standing tall as SmackDown went off the air.
