The Young Bucks Win Quarterfinal Match in Tag Team Championship Tournament on 3/27 AEW Dynamite

The AEW World Tag Team Championships tournament witnessed one of its highly anticipated matches on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite with two teams very much familiar with each other and having collided in a similar situation before.

The bout saw AEW EVPs, Matthew, and Nicholas Jackson scheduled to battle Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) in the first round of the tournament to crown new champions of the tag team division.

The match came almost five years later since the last time both teams competed in a similar tournament to become the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions, where Private Party scored a huge upset over The Young Bucks.

However, Matthew and Nick were determined to not let lightning strike twice at the same place as they and The Private Party went at each other right from the get-go. The match was an excellent display of an expected tag team wrestling classic that went both inside and outside the ring and saw some exhilarating moves and moments created during the entire match.

The closing moments of the bout saw Nicholas grabbing the ring bell only to miss his mark and Marq hitting Matthew with the same but was saved by a timely assist by his brother. Furthermore, a missed top rope move gave The Bucks an opening to connect Marq Quen with the EVP trigger double team move and secure the victory.

With their win, The Young Bucks corrected one of the biggest wrongs of their careers and moved ahead in the tournament that would culminate with new tag team champions crowned at AEW Dynasty.
