The Undertaker Credits Gunther for Bringing Meaning to Intercontinental Title Again

The Undertaker, known for his iconic presence and legendary career in WWE, has always been quite open about those he has a high opinion of in professional wrestling. That’s exactly why he credited Gunther for bringing meaning to the Intercontinental Title again.

GUNTHER’s reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion already cemented him as an all-time great in the company, as he held the title for 666 days before dropping it to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40.

While speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker talked about the current WWE product. The Undertaker noted how Triple H has helped bring prestige to titles and gave special emphasis to Gunther’s reign as the Intercontinental Champion for bringing meaning to the title again.

“I think Paul’s going to create more stories like the run that Gunther had with the IC belt,” The Undertaker said, referencing how WWE Titles are becoming important. “None of those belts really meant anything until Gunther had it and now it means something again.”

Gunther is the current King of The Ring and has been on a roll for the past few months. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how he will be booked in the coming weeks, as he will be challenging the winner of Damian Priest vs Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, which will take place at Money in the Bank on July 6th.
