The Rock Meeting With WWE About Story Options

The Rock returned to WWE last night on SmackDown, and that was quite a shocking moment. Austin Theory ate a People’s Elbow and a spinebuster, but only time will tell if WWE and Dwayne Johnson can work out a deal for fans to see a Rock Bottom once again.

According to BWE, WWE is not expected to see The Rock again for a while. That being said, they will talk about possible story ideas down the line. Naturally, everyone was very happy to have him back.

Backstage were ecstatic with The Rock reactions. However no agreement over anything other than another meeting to discuss story options.

Ringside News exclusively reported that The Rock was lock for WrestleMania. He then confirmed this on the Pat McAfee show this week. We will have to see if they can work something out for WrestleMania 40, but The Rock is open to the idea of having that match against Roman Reigns.

The Rock’s return to WWE generated a ton of attention, and he didn’t even have a match. That being said, Dwayne Johnson is very busy, and he doesn’t want to make a return to WWE for a match unless everything is perfect.

WWE and The Rock are going to apparently sit down once again and hash things out. Hopefully, they can make something work that will actually play out on television instead of fizzling after a handshake deal.

What’s your take on The Rock wrestling in WWE again? Do you think he will put on his pro wrestling gear again in 2023? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
