The Grizzled Young Veterans Vow They Will Be In Action Again After 4/27 Collision Loss

James Drake and Zack Gibson parted ways with WWE last year and since then, they have been on an absolute tear in many promotions. They made their AEW debut during Collision this week and have now sent a stern warning to everyone in the locker room.

During the April 27 episode of AEW Collision, quite few former WWE stars made their debut. This included The Grizzled Young Veterans, who squared off against The Acclaimed in a thrilling match.

Despite all the hype surrounding their AEW debut, James Drake and Zack Gibson were not able to defeat Max Caster and Anthony Bowens in the tag team match on AEW Collision.

In a backstage interview after AEW Collision, James Drake and Zack Gibson expressed their frustration with the match’s outcome, making it clear that they were far from satisfied. They vowed to make a comeback and assured the fans that this wouldn’t be the last time they’d see them in action, signaling their determination to seek redemption.

”We are Grizzled Young Veterans. Any man and their dogs that were watching that match know the better team lost. The only solitary reason we lost the match was because of Billy Gunn, a man that wasn’t even supposed to be out there. We have conquered all of Europe and we’re never going to stop. So Billy Gunn, in fact, the whole AEW roster, this isn’t the last time you’re gonna see the GYV. So remember this, when you see us coming, grit your teeth.”

It is also to be noted that they haven’t signed deal with AEW. We will have to wait and see what AEW will have planned for The Grizzled Young Veterans, as it is quite clear the duo will be feuding with The Acclaimed going forward for the time being.
