Spoiler On WWE’s Plan For Returning Superstar At Survivor Series WarGames

WarGames is in just a few weeks, and we’re getting even more information about the big matches in Chicago. That being said, Survivor Series could be a banner year this time around.

The announcement of WarGames being scheduled for Survivor Series was made a month ago, and the participants for the men’s division have been finalized for a while. If you want to avoid any potential spoilers, please proceed with caution.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE’s original plan for WarGames would see Randy Orton’s return to the company. Only time will tell if those plans have changed, but it seems to be the direction they are going in.

It was reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter this week that Drew McIntyre was being considered for WWE War Games, but beyond that, we’ve actually heard that’s been the working plan for the match for months now. Specifically, McIntyre has been planned for the heel/Judgment Day side of things, making it a 5-man team. The plan since this summer for the babyface side was a returning Randy Orton, with the reveal tentatively planned before the day of the show as to avoid any CM Punk speculation.

As with anything, it’s important to note that creative plans often change, albeit far less these days than in previous years. However, in recent months, Orton and McIntyre were both in the plans.

It was also reported that, “Women’s War Game match is planned, as one could surmise from the end of SmackDown.” Ringside News already reported on those spoiler plans

We’ll have to see how WWE continues their build toward Survivor Series. For more on this story, and many more, please keep it tuned with us here at Ringside News.
