Shawn Michaels Addresses Joe Hendry Making Future Appearances on WWE NXT

Several stars in TNA have recently gained prominence in the industry, including musical sensation Joe Hendry and he definitely made a mark with his appearance on NXT television last month. In light of his appearance, Shawn Michaels has addressed Hendry appearing again on NXT television.

During the June 18 episode of WWE NXT, Joe Hendry made surprising entrance by announcing his participation in the 25-man battle royal, which elicited cheers from the fans. However, Hendry’s moment was short-lived as he was almost immediately eliminated by fellow TNA star Frankie Kazarian, which genuinely irritated fans as they felt Hendry deserved better.

While speaking during the NXT Heatwave media call, Shawn Michaels was asked about Joe Hendry appearing on NXT television again in the future. Michaels praised Joe Hendry’s success on social media, pointing out its significant role in creating demand for Hendry’s debut on NXT. Michaels acknowledged Hendry’s bright future and expressed a desire to work with him again.

Michaels noted that it was his first time meeting Hendry and, despite not being highly skilled in social media himself, he was impressed by Hendry’s online presence. He described Hendry as a bright young man with whom he enjoyed interacting. Michaels expressed that he would be thrilled to work with Hendry in the future, as Hendry is someone who wants to continue growing and advancing.

“Clearly you could see what it was. It was my first time meeting Joe. Again, even for me not being the most skilled social media guy. You see his turnaround all the time from a social media standpoint. Clearly he is a bright young man. The short dealings that I had with him, I liked him a great deal. So again, nothing would thrill me more than to have the opportunity to work with Joe Hendry in the future. I think he would tell you the same thing, he is someone who wants to continue to grow and move up.”

Although there are no current plans for collaboration, Michaels emphasized Hendry’s potential and the admirable way he has built his success independently. He appreciated Hendry’s ability to think outside the box and recognized the intellect required to grow beyond one’s initial scope.

”But right now, unfortunately, nothing to add at this point in time, but I think he’s a young man that’s very bright, certainly has a very bright future and I appreciate the way he has generated this on his own and I think that always speaks well of somebody. Again, you used the words thinking outside of the box, he’s obviously done that and I always appreciate the intellect that it takes for somebody to grow outside the wheelhouse that they’re in.”

We have also reported WWE’s plans for Joe Hendry going forward, as it’s apparent fans will get to see more Joe Hendry on WWE television. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see when Hendry will make his epic comeback to WWE television.
