Scheduled Tag Team Match Called Off on 7/2 WWE NXT

The July 2 episode of WWE NXT, which was the go-home edition for their upcoming Premium Live Event, NXT Heatwave, had its twists and turns and saw one of the matches scheduled being called off.

As announced before the show, the tag team of Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe were scheduled to battle the two halves of the dynamic faction, Gallus, Wolfgang and Joe Coffey.

However, before the match could be down in the Capitol Wrestling Centre in front of the NXT Universe, both sides got into a massive backstage brawl during the show. This led to NXT announcer Vic Joseph announcing during the bout between Wendy Choo and Carly Bright that the match had been called off for the night.

While the tag team bout did not take place for tonight’s show, we will have to wait and see if it will take place at a later show or possibly at this weekend’s NXT Heatwave PLE.
