Randy Orton Claims Chad Gable is Not The Next Kurt Angle Despite Immense Popularity

Chad Gable has proven himself to be one of the most remarkable and captivating WWE superstars since being involved in a feud with GUNTHER last year over the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Moreover, during the buildup to WWE Clash at the Castle, Chad Gable re-signed with WWE and will now be mainstay for the company for the years to come, although he had some options in mind to explore had he chose not to stay with the global juggernaut.

In recent interview on the Cheap Heat podcast, Gable revealed that veteran WWE superstar Randy Orton has massive praise for him. While many have compared him to WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle on multiple occasions, Orton stated that he has transcended the conversation and is the first Chad Gable and not the next Kurt Angle.

“He found me back in the locker room after one of my matches and said, ‘You made it, man. He’s like, there’s no more next Kurt Angle; that stuff’s done. You’re not next Kurt Angle; you’re you. You’ve found it. You’ve found who you are, and you’re showing everybody now.’ And to me, I was taken aback to come from a guy like Randy, who’s done it all and gets the highest praise from everybody. That meant the world to me.”

However, Gable might be second-guessing his decision to re-sign with WWE due to his becoming the prime target of The Wyatt Sicks ever since they debuted in the company two weeks ago, with their antics also continuing this week on RAW. So, it will be interesting to see if Gable becomes the first opponent to step inside the ring with their terrorizing leader, Uncle Howdy.

Do you agree with Randy Orton’s comments? Is Chad Gable the first-of-its-kind in-ring athlete and not an incarnation of Kurt Angle? Sound off in the comments!
