Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta Win Tag Team Quarterfinal Match on 3/27 AEW Dynamite

The sight for tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, emanating from the Videotron Centre in Quebec City, QC witnessed its second quarterfinal match in the AEW World Tag Team Championships tournament with Best Friends scoring the pinfall and moving ahead.

The match pitted Best Friends members “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta squaring off against the ROH World Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett).

Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta knocked off Don Callis Family members, Powerhouse Hobbs and Kyle Fletcher in the previous round to score a major upset last week on AEW Rampage, with Matt Taven and Mike Bennett as their next boulders in their quest to championship glory.

The action went back and forth between both teams as the stakes of the match were higher than ever and the audience in attendance showered loud chants for the tag team wrestling action on display. In the end, Undisputed Kingdom member Roderick Strong tried to run interference only to be neutralized by Best Friends’ cohort Chuck Taylor, giving Trent Beretta the opening to roll the jackknife pin on Matt Taven and secure the pinfall.

The important win advances Best Friends to the semi-final where they would collide with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, The Young Bucks who won their respective match earlier in the night against Private Party on Dynamite.
