Stephanie McMahon had been part of WWE for several years and was always a delight for fans and pro wrestlers alike. After becoming a highlight during the Attitude Era due to her numerous storylines, McMahon went on to manage many backstage roles in the company. McMahon resigned from her duties as co-CEO back in January, shocking many people. Now it appears that Nick Khan wished she hadn’t resigned from WWE.
Stephanie McMahon had been on a leave of absence to spend time with family when she returned to work amid the investigation into her father Vince McMahon back in 2022.
Vince McMahon’s return to WWE as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors led to Stephanie McMahon’s resignation. While speaking with Bill Simmons on his podcast, Nick Khan talked about Stephanie McMahon’s resignation and made it clear that he wished she hadn’t resigned.
“Ultimately, when Vince came back, she decided that she was ready to go and step out. I respect the decision. I wish she hadn’t done that. And she knows that from me personally. She’s a terrific executive and a terrific person. That’s her decision, her relationship with Vince is theirs, and once she made it, I have total respect for her decision.”
WWE and UFC’s deal was also finalized yesterday, as the companies were featured in front of The New York Stock Exchange as the two companies now enter a new era for their respective businesses. We’ll have to wait and see how both companies will progress in the coming months.
