MJF’s First Remarks After Brutal Assault on Daniel Garcia Post 7/3 AEW Dynamite

MJF returned as a babyface at Double or Nothing in May, but his recent heel turn on AEW Dynamite has shifted gears once again. Following this surprising change, he has now made his first remarks about the situation.

In the incredibly hyped main event of the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Daniel Garcia and Will Ospreay collided in a high-stakes battle for the AEW International Championship. The match was intense from the start, with Garcia showcasing his technical prowess and Ospreay showing off his aerial agility.

As the match neared its end, Ospreay capitalized on the distraction caused by MJF’s presence at ringside. He countered Garcia’s offense with a swift Hidden Blade, securing the pinfall victory to retain his championship. Post-match, Ospreay extended a show of sportsmanship to Garcia, acknowledging his resilience and skill in the ring.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn when MJF suddenly unleashed a vicious betrayal. He struck Garcia with a low blow and proceeded to brutally assault both Garcia and Matt Menard, using the Dynamite Diamond Ring as a weapon. Security officials attempted to intervene, but MJF took them out as well.

MJF’s actions left Garcia and Menard bloodied and battered in the ring, underscoring the depths of his ruthlessness. He taunted Garcia, questioning his fortitude, before delivering a devastating Tombstone piledriver from the second rope. Just as MJF seemed poised to inflict further harm, Ospreay rushed in to rescue Garcia, forcing MJF to retreat from the scene.

MJF took to Twitter, where he shared a photo of him holding a bloody Daniel Garcia and simply told Garcia that it was not his fault and pointed out his upcoming appearance on AEW Collision this week.

”It’s not your fault, Danny. Saturday 8pm.”

AEW has also provided a health status on Daniel Garcia following MJF’s brutal attack. It remains to be seen what MJF will have to say regarding his heinous assault on Daniel Garcia, as it is quite clear now that the old MJF is back and AEW has been put on notice.
