The absence of MJF from AEW television has left wrestling fans abuzz with speculation. Since his injury at AEW’s Worlds End event, the popular wrestler has been notably absent from AEW programming. Reports indicated that MJF would be taking time off to recuperate from his injuries and now he has been spotted for the first time since the event, wearing a sling.
In case you forgot, the former AEW World Champion was slated to appear at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo on April 28th, this Sunday. Fans anticipated a full day of autograph signings and photo op sessions with MJF.
As seen in a photo uploaded by popular superfan Brock Lesnar Guy on Twitter, he was seen with MJF at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, where The Salt of The Earth was spotted wearing a sling.
”MJF: Hey so since your boy is canceled what are we gonna do about your name? Me: I’m still shopping it around. MJF: How bout MJF Guy? Me: I like the sound of it. Should I be MJF Guy now? 🤔”
MJF’s in-ring return status has also been revealed, while he remains contemplating shoulder surgery. Nevertheless, MJF’s absence has already triggered significant shifts in AEW’s storytelling and programming and fans want nothing more to be back on AEW television.
