Mina Shirakawa Reacts to Mariah May’s Heel Turn on 7/10 AEW Dynamite

The July 10 edition of AEW Dynamite saw a lot of drama, as Mariah May turned on Toni Storm to end the show, something that no one expected. In light of May’s betrayal, Mina Shirakawa has now reacted to the same.

In the Owen Hart Cup tournament match, Willow Nightingale squared off against Mariah May. Towards the end of the match, Willow faced a distraction from her rivals Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway. Despite the interference, Willow managed to hold her ground. However, Mariah seized an opportunity to reverse Willow’s Firearm Carry, securing a sudden roll-up pinfall that crowned her the winner of the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Cup.

Mariah’s triumph granted her a coveted title shot against AEW Women’s World Champion and her mentor, Timeless Toni Storm, at AEW All-In. However, as they made their way up the ramp, Mariah stunned everyone by viciously attacking Toni Storm and Luther. She used Storm’s own title and even her shoe to assault them, while also targeting a referee. Mariah May’s shocking betrayal left Toni Storm bloodied and down, marking dramatic and unsettling turn of events.

Mina Shirakawa took to Twitter to address the shocking heel turn, admitting her conflicting emotions and the complexity of her feelings.

”Nooooooo!! Noooooooooooooooooo!! NooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOO!!! I can’t sort out my feelings……..”

Shirakawa made her AEW debut in April, rekindling her bond with Mariah May and a lot of things happened since then, including an AEW Women’s Title match at Forbidden Door. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how AEW will book Mariah May and Toni Storm’s feud in the coming weeks, as AEW finally pulled the trigger on May’s heel turn.
