Now, she is set to challenge Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door with both the TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Championships on the line.
While speaking on Good Day New York, Mercedes was asked if she was the highest-paid talent in AEW. Mercedes played coy, noting that she is happy with her bank account.
“So they say. I don’t know other people’s bank accounts, but I just know mine and it looks nice.”
WWE and Mercedes Moné were reportedly in talks for a return, but they couldn’t reach a deal. Moné’s AEW signing puts her among the highest-paid pro wrestlers, especially among female talent. She might not reveal her actual bank account, but her career spending on ring gear and custom hair shows she’s doing well.
Mercedes Moné’s worth in AEW is still being tested every week. She is set for a big match at Forbidden Door on June 30. Moné and Stephanie Vaquer will face off in a Winner Takes All match. Both the AEW TBS Championship and the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship will be on the line. The match will determine who holds both titles, and Moné may walk out as a double champion.
