Logan Paul’s Prime Energy Drink Faces Recall In Canada Due To High Caffeine Levels

Logan Paul became one of WWE’s biggest surprises as his athletic ability immediately made him worth talking about in the company. While Paul is currently busy as a WWE Superstar, that doesn’t mean he is exempt from controversy. His latest controversy deals with his Prime Energy drink, which is now facing a recall in Canada due to high caffeine levels.

As previously reported, Logan Paul’s sports drink called Prime Energy got ton of attention from the FDA. The focus of the investigation revolved around the drink’s high caffeine content, equivalent to that of six cans of Coca-Cola.

US Senate Majority Leader Chuck called for a proper investigation as the drink is being targeted at children despite its high caffeine content, which is 200mg. This is twice the amount in the rival energy drink Red Bull. Other drinks such as Rockstar have 300mg, Monster with 160mg, and Nos at 160mg. Each drink has a warning label noting that anyone under 18 should not consume such drinks.

Chuck Schumer claimed that the company has been packaging and marketing the product “in near identical form” as a caffeine-free drink, which is why parents could be oblivious to the fact that the drink has caffeine in it.

A Prime representative told the BBC that Prime Energy “contains a comparable amount of caffeine to other top selling energy drinks, all falling within the legal limit of the countries it’s sold in. It complied with all FDA guidelines before hitting the market. As a brand, our top priority is consumer safety, so we welcome discussions with the FDA or any other organization regarding suggested industry changes they feel are necessary in order to protect consumers.”

While Logan Paul is currently engaged in a feud with Ricochet on WWE television, things don’t look good when it comes to his Prime Energy drink. In addition to his scam scandal earlier this year, Logan Paul simply hasn’t been seen in the best light. We’ll keep you updated on this ongoing controversy.
