Kazuchika Okada Says He Doesn’t Care About Impact Wrestling After Infamous TNA Run

Kazuchika Okada is hailed as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and it is not hard to see why. The multi-time IGWP Heavyweight Champion has competed in some of the best matches in recent memory. That said, he has a special disdain for TNA and it appears Okada doesn’t care about Impact Wrestling because of that.

In 2010 and 2011, Kazuchika Okada made his way to The United States and worked in TNA, where he was known as Okata, being inspired by ‘The Green Hornet.’ The run was an utter disaster and ended up souring NJPW and Impact Wrestling’s relationship for a long time.

While speaking in a backstage interview, Kazuchika Okada was asked about Impact Wrestling. Okada made it clear that he absolutely hated his run in TNA and due to that, he doesn’t care about Impact Wrestling.

“IMPACT Wrestling? Give me a break. There’s not a promotion I hate more in this world! But I was a pretty big Motor City fan back in the day. A little while back, we faced them in a tag three-way. I know exactly how good they are, but this is a three-on-three NEVER six-man match, and we’re walking in champions. Being the face of NJPW, I can say that I hate…Actually, I don’t give a damn about IMPACT. Who I really hated was TNA.”

Okada is set to team with Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tomohiro Ishii to defend the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Titles against Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, & Josh Alexander at NJPW Destruction In Ryogoku. Regardless, it is highly unlikely he will be making his way to Impact Wrestling anytime soon.
