Tony Khan has invested heavily in premium acquisitions this year. Reports indicate that Kazuchika Okada signed three-year contract with All Elite Wrestling worth around 2 billion yen, roughly $13.5 million. Whether this investment has paid off for AEW is still up for debate.
Some AEW fans are confused by Okada’s booking. One fan tweeted, asking if the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is now a comedy wrestler. Max Caster responded, “Okada has always been a joke. You must not have watched New Japan.”
When another fan asked Caster to take on Okada in a match, Caster replied, “You wanna see me beat the sh*t out of him? Because I can.” As of now, Okada has not responded publicly.
In response to a comment that Okada used to be respected, Caster said, “he’s a p*ssy, I never respected him.” This bold statement suggests he may be speaking his mind and not just putting on an act.
Max Caster has found success in AEW. He held the AEW World Tag Team Championship once with Anthony Bowens. He also won the AEW World Trios Championship with Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn. Kazuchika Okada is the current AEW Continental Champion, with his last match beating Ultimo Guerrero in a Continental Title eliminator match on June 20.
It’s uncertain what lies ahead for Okada in AEW. He is currently aligned with The Elite and enjoying a run as a heel. He appears to be having fun and earning significant money, all while avoiding strenuous bumps in matches.
