The world of professional wrestling is grieving the loss of a true legend, Sika Anoa’i of the Wild Samoans, who peacefully passed away at the age of 79 on June 25th. Sika Anoa’i’s nephew Jahrus Anoa’i broke the sad news of the WWE Hall of Famer’s unfortunate passing. The pro wrestling world would then begin grieving the loss of such a legendary professional wrestler.
Jey Uso took to his Instagram story to share a heartfelt tribute to his uncle, Sika Anoa’i. In the photo, Uso is seen bowing his head and giving the one finger salute, making it clear Sika Anoa’i will forever live on in his heart.
“I had to…one time for Unk. RIP.”
Roman Reigns has also broken his silence on his father’s passing. Nonetheless, Sika’s passing marks the end of an era in professional wrestling. While there will never be another Sika, his memory will endure as an enduring inspiration to all who knew him and to all who were touched by his remarkable career.
