Jeff Hardy’s AEW contract was slated to expire in June, and speculation suggested he would return to TNA once he became free agent. As anticipated, Hardy made his comeback at Against All Odds. Details regarding his contractual status with TNA have now been disclosed.
At TNA Against All Odds, Moose successfully defended the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in a brutal “broken rules” match against Matt Hardy. Following the intense bout, Moose’s faction, The System, viciously assaulted Matt Hardy and his wife Reby. Despite the efforts of Nic and Ryan Nemeth, as well as Joe Hendry, to intervene, they were unable to halt the attack.
In a surprising turn of events, Jeff Hardy made sudden appearance, wielding a steel chair to confront The System. He executed his signature Swanton Bomb on Moose, swinging the momentum and proudly standing alongside his brother Matt in a triumphant moment.
Fightful Select reported that Jeff Hardy’s contract with All Elite Wrestling expired at midnight on June 14th, the same day he made his return appearance in TNA Wrestling. The report mentioned that the process for Hardy’s return was already underway earlier in the week.
As it stands, both Jeff and his brother Matt are currently working in TNA Wrestling without formal contracts, making them free agents from a legal standpoint. While many within TNA are optimistic about Jeff Hardy joining the roster, as of Friday, it hadn’t been explicitly confirmed to them.
We will have to wait and see how The Charismatic Enigma will fare in TNA again now that he is finally back to the promotion after several years. At the very least, fans hope he has a good run this time around.
