Grayson Waller is rising up the ranks as one of the most exciting WWE superstars of the modern era and he never knows when to shut up. Therefore it’s no surprise he and Austin Theory made a bold claim concerning Roman Reigns.
During the April 19 episode of WWE SmackDown, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory were honored with the new WWE Tag Team Championship following their victory at WrestleMania 40 for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. As the show progressed, the Street Profits emerged victorious in a four-way match, earning themselves a shot at the title.
In a WWE SmackDown Exclusive, Byron Saxton caught up with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory during a photo session and inquired about their recent title win.
Saxton then broached the topic of the Street Profits earning a title shot. Waller remarked that their reign would outshine even Roman Reigns’ impressive championship run, confidently stating they would overcome the Street Profits if they desired the challenge.
”We said a few weeks ago when we beat them that we are the smoke. So if they want the smoke, we got it for them. We’re just gonna go through them again, undefeated tag team champions. It’s gonna be a long time. Roman Reigns’ reign [laughs] ain’t gonna be anything close to ours.”
Austin Theory then chimed in and made it clear that they will definitely be one of the greatest tag team champions of all time no matter what.
”I’ll tell you what, it’s just still mind-blowing to me that you interrupt us, the greatest undefeated tag team champions of all time. Brand-new championships for the first time ever. Nobody’s ever had these. Then you come in here, and you’re talking about two randoms. Sure, sure, they got a number one contender match, sure. But guess what’s gonna happen? [Points to Waller] and this [looks at his title], it’s not gonna change. We’re the champs, and we’re forever the champs. The time that we put away these tag team championships is when we feel like it, when we wanna put them on the shelf, on a plaque in our house.”
Grayson Waller even claimed he is superior to The Undertaker recently. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how Austin Theory and Grayson Waller will be booked as the WWE Tag Team Champions in the coming weeks.
