Ex WWE Writer Claims TNA Stable Was Better Than The Bloodline

WWE has a lot of stories going, but the Bloodline saga is still one of the biggest draws that the company has ever offered. That storyline has lasted years, and Paul Heyman noted that they aren’t even close to finishing yet. Now one former WWE writer is

The Bloodline stands as WWE’s dominant faction, consisting of Roman Reigns and his family members. Initially formed with Roman, Paul Heyman, and Jey Uso, it later expanded to include Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. While Jey has since departed, the group continues to exert its dominance on “WWE SmackDown” and has been a reliable support system during Reigns’ extensive championship reign.

However, former WWE and TNA writer Vince Russo believes there is another faction that surpasses them. Russo also mentioned that he was responsible for assembling the Main Event Mafia, with Kevin Nash contributing the group’s name. Despite transitioning away from wrestling booking, Russo remains an outspoken figure in the industry, often sharing his opinions and insights, even recently commenting on WWE’s handling of Cody Rhodes.

“1000% better than Bloodline, not even close. You had one major player in the Bloodline and a bunch of supporting roles. These guys (Main Event Mafia members) were all freaking superstars. Not even close.”

The Main Event Mafia, a TNA faction formed in 2008, featured Kurt Angle, Sting, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Samoa Joe, and Traci Brooks. They later expanded by including Christian Cage in their lineup. A second version of the group emerged, consisting of Sting, Angle, Joe, Magnus (who is now Nick Aldis), and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rampage Jackson.

We’ll have to see what happens with The Bloodline. WrestleMania 40 will certainly be a big event for them, and they’ve been building toward that two-night show for a while. Only time will tell how everything pans out, but Vince Russo has his own way of looking at things.
