At NXT Vengeance Day, Trick Williams faced Ilja Dragunov in an unsuccessful attempt to win the NXT Championship. In a surprising turn of events, Carmelo Hayes betrayed Trick Williams, launching vicious attack on him after his defeat.
It was then confirmed that Carmelo Hayes would explain his actions on this week’s episode of NXT. In light of this segment, Dijak took to Twitter and referenced Rikishi running over Steve Austin for The Rock as the reason for Carmelo Hayes’ actions.
“I did it for The Rock.”
We will have to wait and see how WWE will be booking Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams’ feud in the coming weeks, as fans are certainly invested in it already.
