Cody Rhodes Reveals John Cena’s Blunt Feedback on His Merchandise Sales

Cody Rhodes is undoubtedly one of the biggest draws in all of WWE right now and that’s why he is the Undisputed WWE Champion. He is also a merchandise-selling machine and has now revealed John Cena’s blunt feedback on his merchandise sales.

Since his move from Raw to SmackDown, Rhodes has solidified himself as the brand’s premier star, particularly in the absence of Reigns. Rhodes’ popularity is unquestionable, a fact clearly reflected in his merchandise sales.

While speaking to The Pivot Podcast, Cody Rhodes talked about John Cena’s straightforward feedback on his merchandise sales in WWE. Rhodes explained that when he shares updates with Cena, it’s not for praise but because he expects honesty. Cena’s response is typically pragmatic and blunt, urging Rhodes to consider sales across all shows, not just the ones he’s on.

I don’t send it to him as a ‘check it out’, I send it to him because I know he’s going to tell me the truth. “It’s never ‘unbelievable, great job, you’re there, you’ve made it’, it’s always ‘well, why don’t you check the other shows you’re not on, see how you’re doing there?’ Come on, man!”

Cody Rhodes has ton of respect for John Cena, which is why he finds the leader of Cenation’s opinion invaluable. Regardless, Rhodes will always ask Cena for advice and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
