Cody Rhodes Reveals How His Bus Catching Fire Almost Spelled Disaster For The Miz

Cody Rhodes experienced a near-disaster when his tour bus caught fire. Thankfully, he escaped the incident unscathed. Reflecting on the experience, Rhodes has now revealed that The Miz’s bus almost caught fire as well.

As previously noted, Cody Rhodes revealed that his tour bus caught fire ahead of WrestleMania 40. Naturally, this shocked fans in really big way. Rhodes revealed that he was able to take photos of his wife and daughter and his WrestleMania boots and thankfully recovered other things from the bus as well.

Cody Rhodes recently shared more about the harrowing experience he encountered when his tour bus caught fire. On the latest edition of the SI Media Podcast, Rhodes described how WWE personnel swiftly moved The Miz’s bus away from his own to prevent it from catching fire as well.

“I think the scariest part for me was they started backing up the Miz’s bus as if, ‘Hey, this bus is going to blow up, we’ve got to get this one out of here.’ And I thought, ‘Oh, how is this happening a few days before WrestleMania?’ And then the next thing you know, the fire department is there in Philly. Pulled right in, blasted that bus, and saved it too. That bus will eventually roll again but it had a big hole in it.”

Fortunately, the fire department in Philadelphia quickly arrived on the scene and extinguished the blaze. Thanks to their prompt action, they were able to save both buses. Although Rhodes’ bus sustained damage, he is relieved that the situation did not escalate further and that the bus will eventually be repaired and operational again.

Cody Rhodes would ultimately challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 Sunday and triumph over The Tribal Chief, thus becoming the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes is also officially part of Friday Night SmackDown now, so we will have to wait and see how he will be booked in the coming months.
