CM Punk Dismisses The Idea for Hell in a Cell Match With Drew McIntyre After Return From Injury

The Second City Saint, CM Punk, has maintained a significant presence on WWE television and social media. At the WWE Clash at The Castle Premium Live Event, he played a crucial role in the main event between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre.

Punk took over the match when the referee was knocked out, refusing to count the three for Drew McIntyre and delivering a low blow to him, allowing Priest to execute the South of Heaven chokeslam to secure the win.

In the post-Clash at The Castle press conference, CM Punk updated his in-ring status. He revealed that he was only cleared for referee duties and experienced setback. Punk also stated that he would skip RAW in Corpus Christi to return home to Chicago for a medical evaluation, hoping to receive full clearance from the triceps injury he suffered in January.

In another question asked by media personnel about having his first match back inside Hell in a Cell against Drew McIntyre, he immediately dismissed the idea and asked them to take their fantasy booking somewhere else.

“I mean this with all due respect, this is why I’m happy you do not run a professional wrestling company. First match is a Hell in a Cell? Brother, you gotta take that fantasy booking shit somewhere else.”

Despite his comments, fans eagerly await to see if CM Punk will be cleared for an in-ring return, anticipating a showdown with Drew McIntyre, which is now inevitable after costing him the biggest wrestling match of his life.

Despite CM Punk’s dismissal, do you want to see him compete against Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell once he is cleared by the medical team? Sound off in the comments!
