Chris Jericho has been part of the pro wrestling business for well over three decades now and has accomplished a lot in his career till now. While he may not be everyone’s favorite anymore, there is no denying just how many people still love and respect him. Now it appears Jericho once snuck out of the hospital to wrestle despite having a broken arm.
The pro wrestling veteran has been part of numerous iconic moments over the course of his career, whether it be in WCW, WWE, NJPW or AEW. After all, there is no one who has mastered the art of reinventing quite like Chris Jericho has.
When Chris Jericho started his wrestling career in the 1990s, he met Lance Storm. In 1994, they were known as The Thrillseekers in Jim Cornette’s Appalachian Smoky Mountain Wrestling promotion.
Lance Storm recently took to Twitter and shared an interesting story about Chris Jericho during their time in SMW. Storm revealed that Jericho suffered a broken arm injury and was in the hospital. However, Jericho snuck out of the hospital to be inside a wrestling ring, and Storm took him back for the surgery in the morning.
They diagnosed his broken arm, scheduled his surgery. He then snuck out of the hospital and wrestled a couple hours later. I took him back for surgery in the morning.
All this discussion came about after it was revealed that Bryan Danielson wrestled Kazuchika Okada at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event despite suffering a fractured arm. We’ll have to see what AEW has planned for Chris Jericho in the meantime.
