Chad Gable’s journey in the WWE took a dark twist recently after his failure to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship led him to snap and turn his back on the man he considered his friend, Sami Zayn.
Sami Zayn, acknowledging Gable’s instrumental role in his WrestleMania 40 victory over GUNTHER, generously offered Gable a title match on RAW as a gesture of gratitude. The match was fast-paced and highly exhilarating, but it ended with Sami Zayn retaining his championship with a decisive Helluva kick.
Initially, Chad Gable displayed sportsmanship by raising Zayn’s hand in victory. However, in a shocking turn of events, Gable betrayed his friend and attacked him outside the ring as he greeted his wife, unleashing brutal assault that culminated in locking Zayn in an ankle lock on the top turnbuckle. This sudden betrayal left fans stunned and marked a significant shift in Gable’s character.
After sending out his first remarks since the match, Chad Gable once again took to his X to berate the fans who knew in the back of their head that betrayal was coming towards Sami Zayn already.
