AEW Adds Title For Title Match To Grand Slam Event

AEW Grand Slam is set to take over Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 20th. We already knew that MJF will defend the AEW World Title at that big show, but now we have even more matches for the show.

During this week’s episode of AEW Collision, they added a big grudge match to the Grand Slam Event. Eddie Kingston does not like Claudio Catagnoli, and he’s made no secret about that. They will finally throw down at Grand Slam.

AEW confirmed during this week’s episode of Collision that Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castognoli has been booked for the AEW Grand Slam event on September 20th. This match will also be a title for title situation.



Eddie Kingston is currently the NJPW Strong Openweight Champion. Meanwhile, Claudio Castognoli is the ROH World Champion. Someone is walking out of the famous New York venue as a double champion.

Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho will also wrestle at AEW Grand Slam. There will be more matches to come, but the ones they have booked so far are certainly enough to pique fan interest.
