Adam Copeland Told Darby Allin to Tone Down Reckless In-Ring Antics

Darby Allin is currently one of the top stars in AEW, who has made a name for himself as a thrill seeker and extreme daredevil. That is not a gimmick as he is exactly like that in real life. That said, even Adam Copeland warned Allin to tone down his reckless in-ring antics.

Darby Allin always takes risks when it comes to his in-ring work, as he usually darts himself into his opponents and takes nasty bumps. Due to this, fans and peers alike are worried he will become a cripple soon.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Adam Copeland talked about Darby Allin’s high-risk attitude. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he told Darby Allin to ‘chill out’ with the risky moves.

“So here’s the deal, I told him to chill out. I was like, I don’t be one of those guys like, ‘Back in my day.’ He goes, ‘Back in your day, you jumped face-first through a flaming table.’ I’m like, yeah, there’s that, right. So what can I say? I get it. He is distinctly his own thing. His own thing is really cool. Sometimes, you can’t try and stop that. It just has to happen. He’s just one of those guys. He’s gonna go climb Everest soon, and he’s never mountain-climbed before. Who does that? Well, Darby does. I realized, oh, that’s just it. If there’s a slogan I need for him, it’s ‘Oh, Darby does.’ I love that about him.”
