Adam Cole Returns On Crutches For Unexpected AEW Full Gear Moment

Update: Adam Cole was later booked in the main event to replace MJF.

Original: AEW brought Full Gear on Saturday November 18th at the Kia Forum. The event promised lot of action, and Tony Khan’s company did not want to disappoint at all. Things really picked up in a big way early on, even during the Zero-Hour show.

Ringside News provided full coverage of AEW Full Gear. It was quite a show, and there was no shortage of talking points throughout the event.

MJF and Adam Cole are ROH Tag Team Champions. Sadly, Cole is out of action with an injury, but MJF found another partner this time around for Full Gear.

Samoa Joe teamed with MJF to take on The Gunns in tag team action during the AEW Full Gear Zero-Hour show. The Gunns were coming in as members of Bullet Club gold, and they had a lot of momentum. The Kia Forum was filling up as this show kicked off, and there were plenty of chants for MJF and Joe.

Things were going well in this match, but The Gunns were also on their A-Game. At one point, Samoa Joe even set up for stereo Muscle Buster moves, but the Gunns were able to escape.

Finally, in the final moments of the match, Adam Cole’s music hit. Cole came out with a full beard and crutches. He didn’t get physical in the match, but that was enough to distract the Gunns.

Samoa Joe eventually won the match with a Coquina Clutch, and that helped MJF and Cole retain the ROH Tag Team Titles. After the match, MJF was attacked by the Gunns, as they nailed him in the knee with a couple chair shots. MJF was then taken away as he made Cole promise that he won’t let them take his championship.
